Across New Hampshire, families are squeezed by rising premiums, deductibles, copays, prescription drug prices, and medical debt. People stay in jobs they cannot afford to leave because their healthcare is tied to employment. Others delay care until a health issue becomes a crisis.
In rural communities, people may have to travel long distances for basic services. Hospitals and clinics face financial strain. Mental health and substance use treatment remain too hard to access. Seniors, disabled people, and caregivers are forced to navigate systems that are underfunded, fragmented, and exhausting.
At the same time, private insurance companies, pharmaceutical corporations, hospital executives, and other healthcare profiteers continue to make money from a system that denies care, shifts costs, and treats patients like revenue streams.
This is not inevitable.

We support moving toward a universal healthcare system that ensures every person can get the care they need without being denied, bankrupted, or forced to fight for basic treatment.
