We believe everyone deserves a safe, stable, affordable home.

Housing is one of the most basic human needs. A safe home is the foundation for health, family stability, education, work, community, and dignity.

No one should be forced to live in unsafe housing, spend most of their income on rent, leave the community they call home, or become homeless because housing has been treated as a commodity instead of a human need.

Right now, New Hampshire is in a housing crisis.

Across the state, rents are rising, home prices are out of reach, mortgage rates are high, and property taxes and utilities are pushing families to the edge. Young people are being priced out of the towns they grew up in. Seniors are struggling to stay in their homes. Workers cannot afford to live in the communities where they work. Tenants have too few protections. Families experiencing homelessness are blamed for a crisis they did not create.

Manufactured housing residents face instability when parks are sold or rents rise. Renters face displacement with limited recourse. Small homeowners are squeezed by taxes, repairs, insurance, and utility costs. People who want to buy a home are blocked by high prices, stagnant wages, debt, and a system that increasingly favors investors and those who already have wealth.

This is not inevitable.

The housing crisis is the result of policy choices.

For too long, housing policy has allowed private profit to take priority over community stability. Corporate landlords, speculative investors, exclusionary zoning, underinvestment in affordable housing, and weak tenant protections have all contributed to a system where too many people cannot afford a decent place to live.

When housing is treated primarily as an investment vehicle, working people pay the price.

RAD NH is organizing for housing for all.

RAD NH believes everyone deserves a safe, stable, affordable home.

We support policies that expand affordable housing, allow more housing to be built, strengthen tenant protections, protect manufactured housing communities, support resident-owned communities, and create more community-controlled and permanently affordable housing models.

We also recognize that housing affordability is connected to wages, taxation, utilities, transportation, healthcare, and public investment. A family cannot be secure if every basic need is rising faster than income.

RAD NH organizes tenants, homeowners, manufactured housing residents, workers, and community members to fight for housing policy that serves people, not speculation.
