Human Rights

We believe every person deserves dignity, safety, freedom, and equal protection.

Human rights are not optional. They are not reserved for the wealthy, the powerful, the politically convenient, or those deemed “deserving” by people in power.

Every person deserves to live free from discrimination, exploitation, state violence, and fear. Every person deserves due process, bodily autonomy, worker protections, and the freedom to live openly and safely in their community.

Right now, human rights are under attack.

Across the country and here in New Hampshire, far-right politicians are using fear and division to attack immigrants, LGBTQ+ people, people of color, disabled people, low-income people, workers, students, and anyone who challenges their power.

They target trans people, immigrants, teachers, public workers, people seeking reproductive healthcare, unhoused people, and communities of color because division is politically useful.

These attacks do not make working people safer. They distract from the real crises facing our communities: housing costs, healthcare costs, low wages, underfunded schools, climate instability, and a political system increasingly shaped by concentrated wealth.

This is not inevitable.

Divide-and-conquer politics is a strategy.

When working people are encouraged to blame each other for systemic problems, it becomes harder to see who is actually benefiting from the status quo.

Racism, sexism, transphobia, homophobia, ableism, xenophobia, and anti-worker politics have always been used to fracture solidarity and weaken movements for economic and political democracy.

RAD NH rejects the idea that some people’s rights can be sacrificed to win short-term political fights. A movement that abandons vulnerable communities cannot build real power or real democracy.

RAD NH is organizing for human rights.

RAD NH is committed to racial justice, immigrant justice, LGBTQ+ rights, reproductive freedom, disability justice, due process, workers’ rights, Indigenous sovereignty, and protection from discrimination, exploitation, and state violence.

We believe workers have the right to organize, bargain collectively, earn a living wage, work in safe conditions, and participate in decisions that affect their lives.

We also believe our government has a responsibility to act with dignity and cooperation beyond our borders. Public resources should support human needs, peace, public health, environmental protection, and human rights, not policies that deepen harm, domination, or instability.

RAD NH organizes people across difference to build solidarity and defend the rights, dignity, and safety of every person.
